Camp 54....Point Heron. 17/09/14-19/09/14

Just a little spot to hang out. 

Camp 55...Augusta. 19/09/14-20/09/14

Augusta is a lovely unbusy little town. 

Camp 56....Frieceynet Nat Park. 20/09/14-23/09/14

Camped at the snottygobble camp area, inland to escape gale force coastal winds. 

Goblin swamp, the water is nearly black from tannins, reflections are great. 

Rather eerie, hence the name. 

As it is today, remarkably unchanged. 

It's hard to see but there is a spiral external stair going all the way up, the public can climb it. I didn't !!

A great camp $50/ week, not many pics. 

Yes, myself and another guy got them out. They said the salesman told them their prado would go anywhere!

Camp 59.....Albany.  2/10/14-5/10/14

Albany has a magnificent harbour, apparently the only natural harbour in WA, hence all the jetty's. It is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the parting of the ships and troups to WW1 on November 1st. 

Better views are from the town side, but didn't have my camera.

A very cramped caravan park, paid for two stayed for 1, but a great fishing jetty. 

Camp 69....Point Lowly. 19/10/14-29/10/14

Heaven, stayed 10 nights @ $5/ night, had a dream spot meters from water, dolphins, whales on the first day, bird life, crabs, squid, but hard fishing.

The ore source...middle back range just out of whyalla. 

It's all you need. 

I am now at Port Pirie, directly across the spencer gulf from point lowly. It is again a wheat port but it's main employment is a lead smelter, the ore coming from Broken Hill. I will move on tomorrow down the Yorke peninsular. I expect to be back in Canberra by the end of November. It will be 7 months by then and about 24,000k's. Petrol was from 2.03 on the nullabor to 1.40 at port Augusta. 

Favourite places....exmouth and point lowly. 

Next year I think I may return to King Ash Bay after the wet and then venture up Cape York :)
